About me: Rosanna Jacqueline Garcia was born March 21, 1986 in Rockville, MD. In high school she participated in track and cross country. She also was in the Naval JROTC throughout high school where she exceled in the military drill team. While home from college for the summer she was looking for a way to get in shape and was recommended to Evolve Academy by her brother. After her first class in Muay Thai she was immediately hooked, and began taking Muay Thai as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. After a year of training she entered her first MMA match at the 2010 WKA National Championships in Virginia, and after 2 grueling matches won her division. Her next steps are to continue training for the upcoming WKA World Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland. When not training Rosanna likes reading books on investing, singing, dancing, and focusing on how to promote public health issues. She also holds two degrees; a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.
